Kate Purmal — Executive Coach, Operator, Author

Kate Purmal began her career the founding management team at Palm Computing, helping bring the groundbreaking Palm Pilot to market and shape the future of mobile technology. She went on to serve as Senior Vice President and General Manager at SanDisk, and has since held CEO, COO, and CFO roles at multiple technology and life sciences companies, including CEO of a joint venture technology company. She currently co-founds and advises companies as a Partner at Archimedes Venture Studio, and serves as a corporate board director.

Having held every seat she now coaches, Kate built her executive coaching practice on lived experience — moving seamlessly from the boardroom to the founder’s table. She has coached and advised hundreds of C-suite leaders, from high-growth startups to Fortune 500 companies, bringing grounded insight and a strategic lens to every engagement.

An author and lecturer, Kate co-authored Composure: The Art of Executive Presence and The Moonshot Effect: Disrupting Business as Usual. She shares her leadership expertise as a lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
